The day before going home

Firstly we attempted the zip wire , it was frighting but when we got on it , it was amazing , it felt like you were flying . Our second activity was the vertical climbing challenge which was where you had to get harnessed to a massive wire that was attached to a wooden pole around 50 feet above the ground , it was frightening but worth it!
My personal opinion of my favourite activity was the enjoyable giant swing , it was awesome! The reason why I loved it so much is because you are very confident before you go on , but when you get pulled high up you lose all confidence but not in a bad way it was amazing!
The climbing wall was a challenge that most of us completed, going up was easy but the descent was slightly more bumpy.

Our first day at winmarleigh! Best Day EveršŸ˜ƒ

First we all boarded the coach on the way to Winmarleigh Hall. Adrenaline rushed through  our bodies and minds  even on the way there! After we dived through the door the first things we did was play a few games, animal splat, splat and a crawling moo game

Our first activity was archery it was amazing the second one was orienteering it was OK but we enjoyed doing all the activities. When we were doing orienteering  it started to rain!!! We didn’t go inside  when we finished , we went inside and looked at our  rooms. Next we had tea and played robot wars!

Wolves In The Walls Review by Samah Babeker

5 out of 5 stars !
Wolves in the walls is an inspiring story written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave Mckean. The story is based on a little girl called Lucy who thinks there are wolves in the wall. When she tells her parents they give her an unsatisfactory answer by saying ” when the wolves come out of the wall it’s all over.
The next night it fell silent so Lucy knew something was wrong then all of a sudden
It is impossible to red this story with out moving your lips and there are heaps of giggles to.
THE WOLVES CAME OUT OF THE WALLS!
The illustrations are indescribable and detailed. Of course the wonderful twist at the end left readers laughing . Lucy now thinks there are elephants in the walls , she finds squashed jam sandwiches every where and hears thumping and bumping in the night.
By the time the elephants come out the wolves are long gone.
Many young readers are left with mouths open in disbelief as they watch the story unfold.
I would recommend this story to children aged 8-11 . Some illustrations were dark and slightly threatening but still enjoyable.
Some pictures are inspiring as they are a mixture of college ink drawings and computer generated pictures.
The relationship between Lucy and her mother is informal as they barley spend time with each other.
The mother spends more time making a pile of jam in pots than spending time wither own daughter. They have described the wolves coming out of the wall as ‘ they are like a gang of hungry teenagers ‘.
The character Lucy is a feisty young daughter ,who after leaving her pink puppet ( also known as pig puppet ) in the house was determined to get her back.

Wolves in the walls book review 5 out of 5 by Shaun Sony

This book is amazing, it has beautiful illustrations, the book has a magnificent dilemma as well. The author of the book is called Neil Gaiman and the illustrator is called Dave McEan
It’s about a girl called Lucy, who lives with her family. ( mom, dad and bigger Brother )
Lucy can hear wolves in the wall, she is very scared.it has a lot suspense and it is very transfixing.
I would read the book over and over again.
It’s plot is also super. It leaves a loads of cliffhanger.
The best cliffhanger was at the end.
The end bit was when Lucy could here elephants In the wall!
The message of the book is never give up. I would recommend this book to any of my friends. I would recommend because of
The suspense, the perseverance and action.
It has a variety of twists. It’s also got some scary bit in it as well.
I bet loads of people would stare it in disbelief. I rate it 5 out of 5 because all the adventurous dilemma.
I want there to be a second book, maybe called elephants in the walls?
It’s an excellent book.

Wolves in the walls review by Ebony

5 stars out of 5!

Wolves in The Walls is a very interesting book the amount of suspense included is colossal but I think that makes the story better!
I love it that at the end of the page when the author, Nail Gaiman, uses and…
THE WOLVES CAME OUT OF THE WALLS!
It includes heaps of giggles and the illustrations by Dave McKean are amazing!
It may be a little short but the overall story makes up for it.
I would recommend this book to children 6-12 as sometimes it can be a bit frightening with all the suspension and the amount would transfix younger children and scare them a little at certain parts.
At the end of the story when the wolves were long gone Lucy heard noises that sounded like an elephant, it is a great way to end the story instead of leaving it at a bland happily ever after!
Whilst the family skulked in the bottom of the garden, Lucy decided to build up ALL of her courage and approach her house, this is a great plot and the idea leaves many children astonished by Neil Gaiman’s mind.
The reason I have rated this 5 out of 5 is because the relationship between Lucy and her family, how when, Lucy says something, they’ll ignore her and just believe everything she says is false. Their relationship is not very tight and if I was Lucy I’d give my parents a piece of my mind!
This doesn’t make the book sparse- it is vividly rich- when the relationship between family isn’t close then it encourages children too read on and find out if the relationship will tighten.
